Boarding House / Halfway House

The diverse options for supported living can be confusing.

Many different names and types of housing can be used. As a Level III Residential Service regulated by the Department of Housing and Public Works, we provide a higher standard of care and support to our residents.

A boarding house provides a room and in some cases meals. A half-way house may act as a temporary accommodation while providing balance between independent living and in-patient living. In either a boarding house or half-way house there isn’t 24/7 staffing, cleaning and other supports provided.

At Caloundra House, we provide private rooms, meals, medication assistance and facilitate other care services.

We have created a nurturing environment and a caring community, ready to support you to live independently in an assisted living facility. Through working closely with Queensland Health, varied health professionals, NDIS registered service providers and other allied health providers we strive to create a safe and healthy community for all our residents.
If you or a loved one are looking at a boarding house or half-way house, please get in touch with us to discuss how our assisted and supported living facility may be a better option.
